Prices are in pounds and include VAT or sales tax. Pay monthly, or yearly and save about two months.

"Fair use" means included as you need it. Each plan has a ceiling far above what a reader uses; if you ever reach it, the extras rest until the month turns while reading carries on.

Cancel any time: your plan runs to the end of what you've paid for. A full refund on request within 14 days of your first payment (after a free trial, of the first payment after it); yearly renewals too (refunds and cancelling). Nothing you've read or saved is deleted if you change plan.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Questions

What's free?

The Deckhand plan: the free library without limit, 20 translated pages of your own a month, and a daily allowance of word lookups, translations and read-aloud. No card and no time limit.

How does the trial work?

Once payments open: 7 days of Captain, once per account. It asks for a card so it can carry on if you keep it; cancel before it ends and nothing is charged. The app reminds you before it ends.

Who takes the payment?

Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record. You check out on its page; we never see your card. Your receipt and your card statement come from Paddle.

Can I cancel, or get a refund?

Cancel any time from Settings; your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. If Lingship isn't for you, ask within 14 days of your first payment (after a free trial, of the first payment after it) for a full refund. Each yearly renewal can be refunded within 14 days of it too.

What happens to my words if I stop paying?

Nothing is deleted. Your saved words, stories and books stay; only new use beyond the free plan stops.
